stagecoach cambridgeshire service changes

Cambridge citi services:

citi 2 – minor changes to times between Addenbrooke’s and Cambridge Science Park. With the exception of the 2303 from the city centre (Monday to Saturday) buses will no longer continue to Milton Village, use route 9 (Monday to Saturday up to every 30 minutes).

citi 4 – no change to bus times between St Neots – Cambourne – Cambridge. Buses will no longer serve Milton Road (use route 9) or Orchard Park (use route B).

citi 5 – minor change to bus times. The last journey to Swavesey terminates at Bar Hill.
citi 6 – minor change to bus times.

citi 7 – citi 7 will run up to every 20 minutes between Cambridge, Trumpington, Shelford and Sawston then up to every hour to either Duxford, Whittlesford or Saffron Walden. Evening and Sunday service to Duxford/Whittlesford withdrawn. New citi 8 will run up to every 20 minutes between Cottenham, Histon, Cambridge city centre and Addenbrooke’s.

New timetable runs every 20 minutes Monday - Saturday daytimes, and hourly evenings & Sundays

City Circle free bus
Service is withdrawn following the loss of a local authority contract.

Peterborough citi services:

citi 4 – minor change to bus times.
citi 5 – minor change to bus times.
citi 6 – minor change to bus times. The last journey to Sawtry terminates at Hampton.
citi 7 – minor change to bus times.

citi 8 – new citi 8 will run every 20 minutes from Parnwell and Cardea to the city centre.

9 March/Littleport – Ely – Cambridge
Route 9 replaces current routes 9 & X9 - new timetable, Cambridge to Milton (every 30 mins), Ely (every hour) then Littleport or March (2 hourly off peak, hourly peak times). Evening & Sunday service withdrawn.

11/12 Ely/Bury St Edmunds – Newmarket – Cambridge
Change to timings throughout the day. Evening & Sunday service (route 12A) is withdrawn.

14 Caldecote - Cambridge
Minor change to morning journey into Cambridge.

15 Cambridge – Fenstanton
Evening local authority contract discontinued.

18 Caxton – Cambridge
Evening local authority contract discontinued (1842 Caxton – Cambridge and 2315 Cambridge – Longstowe).

22 Market Deeping – Peterborough
Service is withdrawn. Alternative service provided by Delaine Buses – telephone 01778 422866.

24 Oundle – PeterboroughMinor timetable changes to early morning/evening journeys between Peterborough and Lynch Wood.

30 Ramsey – Huntingdon
There are changes to bus times, and a change of route in Huntingdon – buses will serve Tesco and Sapley on all journeys. Evening and Sunday local authority contract discontinued.

31 Ramsey – Peterborough
Minor changes to times throughout.

32 Chatteris – Peterborough
Stagecoach will no longer operate this service – contact Cambridgeshire County Council to check bus times & operator.

33 March – Peterborough
Service from March to Whittlesey is reduced off peak. Buses from Whittlesey - Peterborough will run up to every 30 minutes with route 31, and the service around March town continues to operate every hour throughout the day.

35 March – HuntingdonMinor change to timetable.

36 Wisbech – Peterborough
The section of route between Wisbech and Thorney is withdrawn, but journeys between Thorney and Peterborough remain unchanged.

45 St Ives – HuntingdonService extended to Hinchingbrooke Hospital. Evening local authority contract discontinued (2005 and 2105 Huntingdon – St Ives).

46 Peterborough – HuntingdonMinor change to timings, and in Huntingdon buses will no longer continue to Hinchingbrooke Hospital (routes 65/66 run up to every 20 minutes from the town centre to the Hospital). Evening local authority contract discontinued (1950 Peterborough – Huntingdon, 2250 Peterborough – Sawtry, 1858 Sawtry - Peterborough)

St Neots town services (61 – 64) – minor change to peak journeys to allow better connections at St Neots rail station.

65/66 St Neots – Huntingdon
The new timetable runs every hour between Huntingdon bus station, Brampton and St Neots (2 hourly through Little Paxton or Great Paxton). In St Neots, most buses continue to Eaton Socon. For services through Sapley and to Tesco, use route 30.

67 St Neots – Southoe
Stagecoach will no longer operate this service – contact Cambridgeshire County Council to check bus times & operator.

X7 – March – CambridgeMinor change to times, and the service is now renumbered X8

X9 – March – Ely - Cambridge
Route 9 replaces current routes 9 & X9 - new timetable, Cambridge to Milton (every 30 mins), Ely (every hour) then Littleport or March (2 hourly off peak, hourly peak times). Evening & Sunday service withdrawn.

400, 401 – Keyston/Grafham – Huntingdon
Stagecoach will no longer operate these services – contact Cambridgeshire County Council to check bus times & operator.

402 – 409 market day services
Stagecoach will no longer operate these services – contact Cambridgeshire County Council to check bus times & operator.

139, 414, 431 market day services
Stagecoach will no longer operate these services – contact Cambridgeshire County Council to check bus times & operator.

31A Netherhall School service
Service is withdrawn – use citi 7 from Trumpington, and change buses at Addenbrooke’s onto citi 1 for Netherhall School.

From the 17th of april the fair of most tickets are going up as shown below

Dayrider : £3.50 -  10p Increase
Dayrider Plus : £5.40 20p Increase
Family Dayrider plus : £6.00 50p Increase
Megarider : £12.50 £1 Increase
Megarider Plus £21.50 £1 Increase
Townrider in Ely/Haverhill/Royston & St Neots will be £1.90 per day 15p Increase
Townrider Huntingdon a Townrider will now be £3 per day 20p Increase 
Townrider Newmarket  still, just £1 with continued funding support from Forest Heath District Council

All so the the dayrider boundary have changed at the west side of Cambridge which means they are will be valid as far as & including Hardwick on citi 4 and up to & including Toft on route 18. To travel beyond this, you’ll need a Dayrider Plus or Megarider Plus ticket. this is due to cambourne houseing funding being cut last year but as stagecoach are loseing lots of money they cant keep it in the dayrider zone

Norfolk green latest acquirement

Norfolk green have confirmed that three more optare spectras are comeing from reading they are 
722-YJ51ZVF   723-YJ51ZVG & 724-YG02FHD which will take there total up to nine optare spectras which means that near all 505 services will be spectraised (is that a word :)
There also acuired  a optare solo what will be numberd 623 it ex Courtney  YJ05XMT this is to replace 600 that had a rtc

cambridge to ely rail reps on Sunday

On sunday there was a rail replacement between cambridge-waterbeach-Ely and cambridge-audly end-stansted airport the companys used were talisman coaches, richmonds, kellys of essex, dews collins coaches, D&H Harrods coaches and north star travel with there band new week old vdl bova futura






Stagecoach peterborough :out with the old in with the new

I payed peterborough a trip on Saturday to bash some of the new  60 plate enviro 400s they got to replace the older 06 plate alx400 tridents on the citi 1.

my route up to peterborough from Cambridge was the beastly X5 to st neots where i happily landed one of the spare Volvo b7 coach's from the old virgin train contract then from st neots i got the 62 st neots town to the rail stain what landed me a 58 plate optare solo (as seen on the left) then on to my train to peterborough that landed me two class 365.  got to peterborough in time to photo a class 60 (60013) (photo above) on a extremely rare working to marks Tye in Suffolk via Cambridge  probably the first one for a good 5 years . for a great photo of 60013 at harts drove whittlsey by rob brooks  click here

on saterday only 10 of which were in sevice with some of the older 06 plates still in service on the citi1 what i made sure i bashed i also bashed 19702 on a 46 what is a stray in it self bashed it to stilton to meet the 46 back to peterborough  but the bus went down but never cam back form the bottem of the village so hade to wait  a hour for 33306  what need water so sat on that for 30 mins waiting for fitters to roll up . they rolled up in a ex london oly and the driver had the pick what to take to peterborough he did pick the volvo oly at a hight of 13'10 but i remined him of hotpoint bridge at 13'09 so we took the dart back to peterborough were the driver was ever so thank full that i told him . by the end of the day i had bashed two alx400 trident  five E400's and two ex cambridge 51 plate alx 300 mans  and a 51 plate dart .not a bad days work me thinks so i headed back to the rail staion for my train back to st neots what was another 365 and my coach back to cambridge was the nice normal b9 coach .  good day in the end i think

Stagecoach Cambridge are to make the sightseeing tour buses low floor with 6 dennis tridents on T and X regs. The 4 X regs are comeing from london they are
